Citizens help each other by offering travel assistance in various regions because of a shortage of transportation. This initiative was facilitated by the Facebook group ‘Daitove‘, which was created as a response to protests against ‘Russian laws’. The group feed contains many posts from vehicle owners who offer rides to specific regions of destination.
Nanuka Zhorzholiani, a TV presenter, has also encouraged citizens seeking travel assistance to post in the group. She said: ‘Find the comments for your destination; it may already be there, and you can find four people’.
Many citizens have expressed frustration on social media over the lack of transportation options. They attribute this to a recent protest organized by the ruling political party, which has contributed significantly to the transportation problems.
