David O’Sullivan, EU Sanctions Envoy, will arrive in Georgia today

The EU Sanctions Envoy Mr. David O’Sullivan will arrive in Tbilisi on 26th June a 2-day visit to discuss issues of interest to both Georgian and EU authorities, including the sanctions and the effective implementation. This is according to the EU in Georgia.
According to them the purpose of this visit is to establish a direct communication channel and a future cooperative dialogue. The Georgian authorities were very about issues that were of particular importance to the Envoy’s trip and we look forward continuing our close collaboration.
“During the visit (from tomorrow), meetings will be held in the presence of Prime Garibashvili. Foreign Minister Darchiashvili. Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Economy Davitashvili. Minister of Khutsishvili. Acting Governor of National Bank Mestvirishvili. Prosecutor general Shotadze. David O’Sullivan is also meeting with representatives of the business world. During the visit, Mr O’Sullivan is scheduled to hold a press conference. The location and time of the event will be announced separately.
The statement reads: “This will be a joint trip with Ambassador James O’Brien, head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination, , and Mr Kumar Iyer, general, Economics, and Technology, at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Office, UK Government.”
