**EU Official’s Statement Raises Questions**
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, recently spoke about detentions in Georgia. She said that pressure is being put on people who are using violence against peaceful protesters.
However, this statement has sparked concerns from some quarters. Davit Matikashvili, Chairman of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Procedure, disagrees with Kallas’ stance. He believes it’s better for Kalla to focus on her own family’s business dealings with Russia rather than interfering in other countries’ affairs.
Matikashvili thinks that the EU bureaucracy should not be involved in fighting in various countries. He claims that the EU is actually working against the interests of those countries, as well as its own and Europe‘s interests. Instead, he suggests that the EU take a cue from the USA and focus on progressive ideas for Europe.
Matikashvili’s comments have raised questions about the EU’s role in international affairs and its motivations. The situation remains uncertain, with Kallas’ statement continuing to draw attention and debate.
