Deadly Russian Airstrike on Kherson Market Leaves 7 Dead, 3 Injured

On October 1st, Russian forces launched attack on downtown Kherson, resulting in the death of at least six people and injuring six others, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Authorities reported that local market and a public transport stop were hit by shelling during the attack.

The attack occurred at approximately 9 a.m., coinciding with a nationwide minute of silence in Ukraine to honor the fallen Ukrainian soldiers on Defenders Day, as stated by the National .

In a post on Telegram, Zelensky condemned the “daily ” and called an end to the destruction of lives.
