Russian Troops Attack Velyka Novosilka
Russian forces are attacking the city of Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast. They want to capture this key stronghold, which would help them control supply routes and fight against Ukrainian defenses.
The situation around Velyka Novosilka is very bad. The city is the last strong defense point in the southern part of Donbas. Russian forces have already attacked the area many times, but Ukrainian soldiers have been able to stop them.
Russian troops used several armored vehicles and tanks to attack Velyka Novosilka on November 22nd. They also brought supplies into the settlement using quad bikes and light vehicles.
The analysts from the DeepState project say that Russian forces sensed that the Ukrainian defenses were not very strong. Then, they quickly mobilized their reserves to continue attacking. This is part of a broader plan to break through Ukrainian defenses and secure key supply routes.
If Russian forces capture Rozlyv, it would make it easier for them to advance towards other important cities and disrupt Ukraine’s logistics. This would give them more control over the region.
