**Reform of Military Medical Commissions in Ukraine**
From April 1, all military medical commissions (MMCs) will issue their conclusions in electronic format. This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The MMC is a group of doctors who examine people to see if they are fit for military service. In the past two years, some people were wrongly sent to fight in the war, or others got out of serving through corrupt means.
**Changes Coming**
Minister Umerov said that the reform of the MMC is part of a bigger change that Ukraine is making with help from international partners. This will make it easier for people to get their medical reports and avoid corruption risks.
The new system will put medical reports directly into online registers, and into the application Rezerv+, which makes it easy and quick to enlist in the military without waiting at offices.
**Addressing Corruption**
The reform began after a scandal involving fake disability certificates. The National Security and Defense Council found that many people had been given false disability status through corrupt means.
As a result, 64 officials were charged with crimes, and nine suspects were convicted. More than 4,000 fake disability certificates were also cancelled.
