Protesters Take to Rustaveli Avenue Again
For over two months, people have been gathering on Rustaveli Avenue in Georgia. They are protesting against the government and demanding new elections.
The police tried to stop them, but the protesters were able to block the street. Some people shouted “Slaves! Slaves!” as they were initially prevented from doing so.
Every day, citizens and experts come together to protest on Rustaveli Avenue. Today is the 71st day of these demonstrations.
The protesters are calling for new elections and the release of people who have been detained during the protests.
