The deals will boost Ukraine’s weapon production for its army. They will focus on self-propelled anti-tank systems and missiles, as well as drones and anti-tank weapons.
The Ministry of Strategic Industries and Defense of Ukraine reported that Kyiv and Copenhagen had signed multiple agreements totaling 600.6 million dollars to support Ukraine’s production of weapons for its army.
The EU allocated 400 million euros from Russian assets frozen in order to support Ukraine’s Defense Forces under the “Danish Model” of direct domestic funding. Denmark has already contributed EUR50m to the Bohdana production of self-propelled artillery.
The agreements signed by the Ministry of Defense of Denmark, the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will finance the production of anti-tank missiles, artillery, and long-range drones.
