**Denmark Leads in Supporting Ukraine‘s Defense Industry**
The Danish government has given €111 million to help Ukraine make its own weapons. This is part of a larger effort from Denmark, France, and Lithuania to support Ukraine’s defense industry.
Ukraine has received over €150 million for its defense industry since Russia invaded in 2022. The Ukrainian government has been working hard to adapt to the war and use foreign money to help their defense sector. However, they have had problems getting military aid from other countries on time.
**Denmark’s Big Contribution**
The Danish contribution is the largest, with €111 million given through agreements between Ukraine and Denmark. This shows how Denmark is taking a leading role in supporting Ukraine’s defense industry.
France has also given money to help Ukraine’s security. They have given €29 million to enhance Ukraine’s capabilities. Lithuania has committed €10 million for a project called “Palianytsia”.
**The Palianytsia Project**
Lithuania and Ukraine signed an agreement on November 23rd to work together on the Palianytsia project. This is a long-range missile-drone hybrid that Ukraine wants to make itself. The goal is to reduce reliance on foreign military supplies.
The Palianytsia was already deployed in combat and even struck a Russian military facility. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that the money will be used to produce missiles, deep-strike drones, and artillery systems.
**Ukraine’s Plans**
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants Ukraine to make 30,000 long-range drones in 2025 using domestic facilities. They also want to make no fewer than 3,000 cruise missiles and drone missiles.
