The Danish government will also increase its Industry Fund to the tune of 500 million kroner ($71 million) in order to purchase new weapons and equipment for Ukraine.
On 17 October, the Danish government announced a new military aid package worth 2.4 billion kroners ($350 million).
According to the Danish Ministry of Defense this is Ukraine’s twenty-first aid package. It focuses on long-term defense capability building and military support.
The package includes an additional 500 million Danish Kroner (approximately $71 million) for the Industry Fund by 2025. This money will be used to purchase new weapons and military gear.
According to the ministry’s statement, the aid package includes funding for air defence systems in collaboration Germany, additional contributions made to the British-led International Fund for Ukraine and donations from Denmark‘s defense stockpiles.
The International Fund for Ukraine, led by Britain, coordinates international military assistance for Ukraine. The UK established the IFU in 2022 to allow countries to pool resources and streamline the procurement process of military equipment for Ukraine.
