Journalist Mzia Amaghlobeli Still in Clinic

Mzia Amaghlobeli, a journalist on hunger strike, remains at the Vivamedi clinic for monitoring. The clinic’s director, Zurab Chkhaidze, said that after being told about possible complications, Amaghlobeli decided to continue treatment and monitoring.

Chkhaidze explained that Amaghlobeli was informed about the risks of complications due to her prolonged starvation. Her health remains unchanged, but she is experiencing some complaints related to starvation.

A group of doctors from the Public Defender‘s office examined Amaghlobeli on Friday. After discussing their findings with Chkhaidze, they jointly recommended a course of treatment. Amaghlobeli agreed to follow these recommendations.

Chkhaidze said that Amaghlobeli understands her situation and is aware of the risks involved. He stated that monitoring will continue at the clinic under the supervision of doctors.
