A young woman who was severely hurt in a canopy collapse at the Novi Sad train station is now on the road to recovery. She has been moved out of intensive care and is being treated on a regular ward.
According to Dr. Teodora Tubic, head of anesthesia, intensive care, and pain therapy at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina Clinic, the young woman is stable and making good progress. Decisions about her health are still being made by a team of doctors, but she will soon be able to move on to rehabilitation or return home.
The canopy collapse happened on November 1, 2024, killing 15 people and severely injuring two others. It was reported that the recently renovated main train station in Novi Sad was not designed well enough, which led to the tragic accident.
