**Drone Strike Damages Russian Railway**
A drone strike in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast damaged a railway line, causing delays for at least one train. The governor of the region, Alexander Gusev, said that fragments from an intercepted drone hit the contact network of a local railway.
According to Gusev, Russian air defense units shot down over 10 drones in the area on December 28. However, it is not clear which district was affected by the damage.
**No Casualties Reported**
Emergency services are currently working to repair the damaged line, and no casualties have been reported from the drone attack. The governor did not provide further details about the incident.
**Ukraine Denies Responsibility**
The Kyiv Independent could not verify Gusev’s claims of a Ukrainian drone strike targeting Russian territory. However, it is known that Ukraine has been launching regular drone strikes against Russian military and industrial facilities in an effort to undermine Russia’s war effort in Ukraine.
