**Ukrainian Drones Strike Russia**
Russia has been hit by Ukrainian drones. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, four drones were intercepted over different parts of the country.
One of these drones attacked the city of Rostov-on-Don in Rostov Oblast. There were “three or four loud explosions” heard overnight on December 18. This is according to reports from Russian Telegram channels.
Video footage has emerged showing drones flying over Rostov-on-Don. This suggests that Ukrainian forces have been targeting the city with their long-range drone attacks.
**Important Military Targets Hit**
The Rostselmash plant in Rostov Oblast was reportedly hit by a drone. This plant is important because it modernizes and repairs armored vehicles for the Russian military. Debris also fell near the Rostvertol plant, which specializes in helicopter manufacturing.
Petro Andriushchenko, a former advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, said that the Ukrainian forces have successfully targeted key military facilities in Russia. He believes that the Russian Defense Ministry did not mention Rostov-on-Don because the attack was successful and caused significant damage.
**Other Drones Intercepted**
In addition to the drone that hit Rostov Oblast, four other drones were intercepted by Russian air defense forces over different parts of the country. Two drones were reportedly intercepted over Belgorod Oblast, while one each was intercepted over Bryansk and Kursk oblasts.
A separate incident in Voronezh Oblast saw Russian air defense forces destroy two Ukrainian drones. However, there were no casualties or destruction reported.
