Drones target Russian airbase in Adygea, 400 km behind the line (video)

Local officials and reported that strike drones attacked a airfield overnight on 10 October in the Republic in southern Russia. The attack resulted in explosions and a fire.
In the past year, Ukraine has intensified attacks on military and fuel facilities in Russia, causing a significant disruption of fuel and ammunition supplies for the military. These attacks were mainly directed at Russian bomb storages located in airbases deep within Russia.
The Khanskaya Airfield, located about 400 kilometers from the frontlines of Ukraine, was the target of the assault. Astra, a Russian , published videos at night that show flashes of light and capture sounds from Russian air systems operating on the airfield. A video from Astra in the morning shows black smoke rising above the facility.
The is located 3 kilometers east of Khanskaya Stanitsa and 6 km northwest of Maykop. , the capital, is approximately 80 kilometers away.
Militarnyi notes that a video taken by local residents shows jet aircraft taking off after the attack started, probably to avoid being struck by drones. Social media sources in Russia suggested that these could have been Su-27 bombers and fighters.
NASA FIRMS satellite fire monitoring system detected an explosion in the area of a Russian airfield after receiving reports of them.
According to NASA data, OSINT researchers Oko Hora and MT. Anderson suggest that an attack may have resulted in a fire involving aircraft fuel tanks or a bomb storage facility. In previous attacks against Russian air bases, aerial bomb storages and fuel stores were the primary targets.
