**Latvia Supports Georgia**
The President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, says his country will support Georgia. He wants to work together with other countries in the European Union.
Last year, Latvia was one of the first countries to punish leaders from Georgia who are accused of doing wrong things. The Latvian president says he hopes other EU countries will also take this step.
“We need a consensus,” said Rinkēvičs. “We’ll discuss this with other countries in the coming days.” He believes there is a way for Latvia and others to help Georgia.
