**Russian Attack on Kherson Village Leaves 8 Injured**
On December 28, Russia attacked the village of Bilozerka in Kherson Oblast with artillery. This resulted in eight people being injured, including two teenagers.
A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were among those hurt. They both suffered brain injuries and have been hospitalized. Three men and three women were also wounded in the attack. Two of the women sustained brain injuries and contusions, while a third woman was hit with shrapnel to her arms.
The victims have been taken to hospital for treatment. The village has been subjected to daily attacks by Russian forces as they remain in control on the other side of the Dnipro River.
**Increased Attacks in Region**
This attack is part of an increase in Russian activity in the region. On November 3, a paramedic and an ambulance driver were wounded in shelling in Bilozerka. Ukraine’s military has said it is repelling Russia’s attempts to land on an island in the Dnipro River delta.

Ukraine has been expecting a large-scale Russian advance in Kherson Oblast as Russia pushes into the south. The region has seen repeated attacks by Russian forces, and Ukraine’s military is working to defend its territory.
