The union of well established civil society organizations such as Transparency International Georgia (TIG), GRASS, Civil Society Foundation and IDFI have described the 2024 election process in Georgia as a ‘complex scheme of election fraud,’ calling for annulment.
WeVote – the alliance formed to oversee the elections – assigned 2,000 observers across the country, claiming that fraud had a major impact on the final result.
The coalition released a press release expressing confusion and doubts about the validity of preliminary results revealed by CEC. They imply that they do not accurately represent ‘the will’ of the citizens in Georgia, using examples of disturbances.
