A group called “ ” has begun a 24-hour protest on in the city center of Tbilisi, Georgia. The protesters are fighting against what they see as a coup d’état by the government.

Elene Khoshtaria, one of the leaders of the coalition, said that this is just the beginning of many forms of struggle to come. “We have been saying from the first day that when the government organizes a coup d’état, it is our obligation to fight,” she said.

The protesters are planning to stay on the streets 24 hours and will hold protests in various forms in the following days. They have also received international , but stress that this is based on the people’s struggle.

In a meeting of the EU Affairs Council, Khoshtaria emphasized that regaining free will is the main goal for Georgian . “When they are deprived of their free will, it’s our main charge,” she said.
