**Government Fears Demonstrations, Says Leader**
A leader of the “Coalition for Change“, Elene Khoshtaria, says the government’s recent arrests are a sign that they’re afraid of citizens and demonstrations.
Khoshtaria believes the government is trying to scare people into stopping their protests. But she says this will only make more people angry. She claims the rallies have been peaceful, with police violence met by resistance from the public.
“We won’t stand quietly if the police attack us,” Khoshtaria said. “We’ll use all means necessary to resist – fireworks, lasers, eggs, and anything else we need.”
She also criticized government officials for discrediting and lying about the protests. According to her, the protesters will continue to fight using legal but powerful means.
