Elene Khoshtaria Released from Police Station
Elene Khoshtaria, a member of the “Coalition for Change,” has been released from the Dighomi main police station. Her lawyer, Teona Zakarashvili, confirmed this with Interpressnews.
Khoshtaria was held in an isolator after being detained on March 28 during a protest rally near Parliament. She was charged under Article 166 and 173 of the Administrative Offenses Code for petty hooliganism and disobeying police orders.
According to Zakarashvili, Khoshtaria was released when her 24-hour detention period ended. However, more details are not available at this time.
Nika Gvaramia, a leader of the “Coalition for Change,” also reported on Khoshtaria’s release. He said she was let go without any court decision or explanation.
