**British-Israeli Hostage Freed from Gaza Captivity**
A British-Israeli national, Emily Damari, has been released from captivity in Gaza after being held for over a year. The 28-year-old was among the first three hostages to be freed on Sunday as part of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.
**Emily’s Joyful Return**
In her first comments since her release, Ms. Damari expressed her joy at returning to her “beloved life”. She wrote on Instagram: “I’ve returned to my beloved life”, accompanied by the message “love, love, love” and thanks to God, her family, and friends.
**Injuries and Reunion**
Ms. Damari was shot in the hand during her capture and lost two fingers as a result. Her mother, Mandy, was overjoyed at being reunited with her daughter after 471 days of waiting. She thanked everyone who campaigned for Emily’s release and expressed relief that “Emily’s nightmare” was finally over.

While Emily Damari is now home, other family members continue to wait anxiously for news about their loved ones still held captive in Gaza. The ceasefire deal has brought hope, but the waiting game continues for many families affected by the conflict.
