Russia’s Behavior Has Changed, Says French President Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has spoken out about Russia’s behavior towards its neighbors. He says that Russia has become more aggressive and tougher in recent years.
Macron made his comments at a meeting with French diplomats. He pointed to several examples of Russia’s changed behavior. In Georgia, Russia destabilized the electoral process and even stuffed ballot boxes. They also tried to do the same thing in Moldova, but were unsuccessful.
Another example Macron gave was Armenia, where Russia suddenly became allies with Azerbaijan after Armenians stood up to them. This shows that Russia will use its power to get what it wants, even if it means betraying its friends.
Macron commended President Maia Sandu of Moldova for her courage and determination in the face of Russian aggression. He also mentioned Romania, where Russia tried to manipulate the electoral process, but failed.
