**Ukraine and Russia Disagree on Energy Facilities to Be Protected**
The Ukrainian government has given a list of energy facilities that they want Russia to stop striking during a partial ceasefire. However, this list is different from the one agreed upon by Russia and the US.
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, Kyiv and Washington had agreed on a list of energy facilities to be protected as part of a truce on energy attacks. But this list differs from the one Russia and the US had agreed on the day before, says the Ministry.
**What is Included in Each List?**
Russia said that their list includes oil refineries, pipelines, storage facilities, power plants, substations, and transformers. They also specifically mentioned nuclear power stations and hydroelectric dams.
Ukraine’s list, on the other hand, includes a ban on strikes on the electric power, oil and gas, nuclear and coal industries, as well as energy equipment manufacturing facilities. Ukrainian oil and gas production facilities were not included in Russia’s list, according to the Ministry of Energy.
**Recent Attacks**
Since March 18, when Russia claimed to have ordered a pause on attacks on Ukraine’s energy facilities, there have been eight confirmed hits by Russian forces against Ukrainian energy sites.
