Estonia urges NATO allies to increase military aid to Ukraine

Ukrinform reported that the Estonian Defense minister, Hanno Pevkur called on Western allies to increase their military aid to Ukraine in recognition of its at a defense ministers’ meeting in Brussels.
This year, Estonia pledged to provide Ukraine with military support worth at least 0.25 percent of its GDP. According to Pevkur this number is the minimum part of the “Ukraine Victory Strategy.”
If every country allocated this amount, it would bring $120 Billion to Ukraine annually. The Estonian Minister for Defense has noted that partners do not provide even half of this amount.
“We can say we are helping Ukraine to not only conduct this war, but to win this battle,” said the Estonian Defense Minister.

The coalition is now expecting the NATO Headquarters, specifically the procurement agency to expedite necessary processes.
The Estonian Defense Minister noted that the Victory Plan of Ukrainian includes points that Estonia had long advocated.
Pevkur said that Ukraine would win this war, and expressed the hope that it wouldn’t be just a plan on paper.
The Estonian official also added that his country always believed that NATO membership was Ukraine’s best real security guarantee.
