The missiles developed by the Estonian company Frankenburg Technologies are specifically designed to target and shoot drones and other low flying aerial threats at heights up to two kilometers.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced on 8 November that it will test air defense missiles provided by the Estonian defense firm Frankenburg Technologies.
Ukraine continues to be targeted by Russian drones and missiles. If the testing is successful, the new Estonian rockets could be added to Ukraine’s extensive air defenses against Russian aerial threat.
According to Brigadier-General Anatolii Kolochko of the Deputy Defense Ministry, the first samples will arrive before the end of 2024. The missiles were designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and can shoot targets at heights of up to 2 km.
