**European Commission Gives Ukraine 1 Billion Euros in Aid**
The European Commission has given Ukraine an extra 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) to help the country’s economy recover from Russian aggression. This money will be paid back with funds from frozen Russian assets.
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, thanked the commission for its support. “We are reiterating our commitment to Ukraine,” said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. “We are helping Ukraine rebuild critical infrastructure damaged by Russian aggression.”
**Russia’s Actions**
Russian forces launched a large attack on Kropyvnytskyi in Ukraine overnight. The city’s Governor, Andrii Raikovych, reported the attack and said it was one of Russia’s largest attacks recently.
Russia also carried out two attacks on Ukraine’s railway energy infrastructure, injuring four workers. Ukrainian and Russian officials are expected to meet in Saudi Arabia for peace talks.
**Finland to Help Ukraine**
Finland will help Ukraine build shelters from regular Russian aerial attacks. The country signed an agreement with Ukraine on March 19 to provide assistance.
**New F-16 Jets Arrive**
A new shipment of Western F-16 fighter jets has arrived in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed.
