EU sanctions Iran over missiles shipments to Russia

The EU adopted sanctions on October 14 against seven individuals and entities in response to Iran’s missile and aerial drone shipments to Russia during its full-scale invasion into Ukraine.
After it was revealed that Tehran had supplied Fath-360 missiles with a close-range to Moscow, Brussels has joined the U.S.
The EU’s new sanctions list includes individuals and entities that are responsible for the transfer and development of drones and rockets to Russia.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the Commission, said on X that “the Iranian regime’s continued support for Russia’s war aggression against Ukraine is unacceptable” and must cease.
“I welcome the adoption of sanctions against individuals and companies in response to Iran’s drones and missile transfers to Russia.”
The list includes three Iranian airlines, Saha Airlines, Mahan Air and Iran Air, as well as two procurement firms and two producers of propellants used to launch missiles.
The Council of the EU sanctioned Iranian Deputy Defence Minister Seyed Hamzeh Gahalandari, as well as top officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard including its Aerospace Force Space Division.
Further restrictive measures were imposed on the managing directors of listed companies Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries(HESA) and Aerospace Industries Organization(AIO).
