**Ukraine Urged to Reveal Mineral Data**
The European Business Association (EBA) has asked the Ukrainian government to make public its information on mineral deposits. The association wants this information to be declassified, saying it will help Ukraine engage with global partners and encourage investment.
Currently, details about gold, lithium, titanium, and platinum in Ukraine are kept secret or “for official use”. This makes it hard for Ukraine to develop these resources and attract investors.
The EBA says that keeping this information secret may hurt Ukraine’s economy. The country plans to recover economically under the Ukraine Facility program and has a strategic partnership with the EU on raw materials.
**US and Ukraine in Rare Earth Deal Talks**
Ukraine is also talking to the US about a rare earth minerals deal. The US wants access to these valuable resources, which are used in aerospace and defense industries, as well as electric vehicle batteries. In exchange, the US will provide security guarantees.
This deal is part of ongoing talks between Ukraine and the US on military aid and cooperation. President Donald Trump has said he wants a rare earth minerals deal with Ukraine in exchange for further US military support.
**Other Developments**
Ukraine has 20 critical minerals and metals, including titanium and lithium. The country will receive 6,000 AI-powered drones from a German defense technology firm.
There is uncertainty about US aid commitments to Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia’s invasion of Ukraine must be recognized as a threat that Ukraine cannot defend itself against.
