**Serbian Tabloids Spreading Fake News**
A website that tracks fake news in Serbia has reported that three pro–government newspapers have published the most false information about student protests.
The website, called FakeNews Tragac, says that the Alo, Informer and Vecernje Novosti newspapers printed more than half of all the fake stories about the students. They wrote 739 false articles between January 24 and March 3.
Most of these fake stories were made up by the journalists themselves, but some came from politicians or public figures. The website says that after March 3, these newspapers kept publishing hundreds of more fake stories.
Some of the false claims included saying that a student protest had a flag of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and that there was an outbreak of lice in several colleges.
