Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is disagreeing with top EU leaders. They recently showed support for Ukraine.
Fico said that the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, don’t have the right to make statements on behalf of the whole EU. He thinks they should not have spoken out in favor of Ukraine.
Fico also stated that he does not agree with sending military aid to Ukraine. This is not the first time Fico has criticized top EU leaders. Recently, he posted a video on Facebook where he disagreed with Estonia’s former Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. She supports the US and is critical of Russia.
It’s worth noting that Fico plans to attend a World War II parade in Moscow on May 9th. He also voted against the newly appointed European Commission last week, even though one of its members is from his own country.
The Netherlands has committed to sending Ukraine advanced mobile radar systems by the end of next year. These can detect small drones while they are moving. This can be an important tool in modern warfare.
