Finnish Companies Interested Ukraine’s Reconstruction

Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy says are interested in helping with the country’s reconstruction. This includes investing in energy, agriculture, IT, and .

Finland has been a strong supporter of Ukraine since Russia’s war started in February 2022. It has given over €.3 billion in military and $255 million for humanitarian help. In June, Finland approved a package worth nearly $170 million.

Ukraine’s First met with a Finnish delegation led by Janne Kankanen from Finland’s National Emergency Supply Agency. They discussed how to work together on reconstruction efforts.

Finnish companies want to invest in Ukraine’s private sector, and they appreciate the Ukrainian government’s efforts to protect businesses from war risks. The parties also talked about expanding business presence in energy, IT, transportation, and green technologies.

Sobolev presented state programs that support businesses and investors. These include tax incentives for industrial park residents and projects with investments over €12 million.

Finnish companies can participate in the Ukraine Framework announced by the Commission. This framework encourages private sector investment in Ukraine.
