**Russian Airstrikes Kill Civilians in Kostiantynivka**
On February 26, Russian airstrikes hit the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast. This led to the death of at least five civilians and injuries to 11 others.
According to Governor Vadym Filashkin, a 47-year-old woman and four men were killed in the attack. The ages of these victims range from 56 to 75 years old. Five women and six men, ranging from 33 to 83 years old, are among those injured.
The Russian forces dropped three guided bombs on Kostiantynivka and its outskirts. This resulted in significant damage to at least 52 civilian sites, including over 20 residential buildings. Kostiantynivka had a population of around 67,000 before the war.
**Regular Targeting of Civilian Areas**
This is not an isolated incident. Russian forces have regularly targeted settlements in Donetsk Oblast with artillery and airstrikes, often resulting in civilian casualties.
