**Russian Attack on Power Facility Leaves Kherson Without Electricity**
A Russian attack on a power facility in the Ukrainian city of Kherson has left around 45,000 residents without electricity. The attack happened despite a partial ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine on strikes against energy facilities.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that the Central and Korabelnyi districts of Kherson are affected by the outages. Electric transport is also partially out of service due to the power cuts.
**Previous Ceasefire Agreement Broken**
This attack comes after Russia and Ukraine announced a partial ceasefire on strikes against energy facilities following technical consultations with the US in Riyadh last week. However, it appears that this agreement has been broken once again.
In March, Russia had rejected a proposal by Ukraine and the US for a full 30-day truce during their talks in Jeddah. Instead, Moscow claimed that its side of the energy ceasefire had been in effect since March 18, when Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly declared a halt on such attacks following a call with US President Donald Trump.
**War Continues**
Despite this, Russian forces also reportedly attacked Kherson’s energy infrastructure on March 27, violating the terms of the US-brokered limited ceasefire. The war continues, with both sides trading accusations and neither side showing signs of backing down.
**Other Developments**
Meanwhile, Ukraine and the US have been working to implement a framework agreement for peace in Ukraine. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected this proposal unless it includes conditions undermining Kyiv‘s ability to defend itself.
In other news, Ukrainian air defenses shot down two guided aerial missiles launched by Russia against Zaporizhzhia Oblast. There were no reports of civilian casualties or damage.
**Humanitarian Support**
The German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has announced additional humanitarian support for Ukraine amounting to 130 million euros ($140 million).
