**Serbian Government Invites Education Unions to Negotiations**

On Sunday, Prime Minister Milos Vucevic announced that a meeting with education representatives would take place on January 9. This meeting is expected to discuss important issues related to the education sector.
**Education Unions to Insist on Protocol Implementation**
The Union of Serbian Education Workers spokesperson, Mirjana Gasic, said that representatives from major unions will attend the negotiations. They will insist that the government implements a protocol signed in October 2023. This protocol aims to bring starting salaries in schools in line with average salaries in Serbia by January 1, 2025.
**Commitments Must Be Fulfilled**
Gasic emphasized that education workers’ unions will push for the commitments outlined in the protocol to be fulfilled as soon as possible. The negotiations are expected to take place on January 9.
