**Ukraine Watches Russia’s Actions After Black Sea Ceasefire Agreement**
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine says that a ceasefire on military action in the Black Sea is now in effect. However, they will continue to monitor Russia’s actions and ensure compliance with the agreement.
**Agreement Reached Between US, Russia, and Ukraine**
On March 25, the US, Russia, and Ukraine agreed to “eliminate the use of force” and prevent commercial vessels from being used for military purposes in the Black Sea. This agreement was made after two-day talks in Saudi Arabia.
**Ukraine Clarifies Scope of Ceasefire**
According to Ukrainian officials, the ceasefire applies to civilian shipping and Ukrainian ports, but does not apply to Russian warships. In the past, Ukraine has experienced damage to its ports from Russian attacks.
**Warning to Russia**
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson warned that any movement of Russian warships beyond the eastern part of the Black Sea would be considered a violation of the agreement and could hinder free navigation in the region.
**No Changes to Sanctions**
Separately, the Ukrainian official clarified that the Black Sea truce does not concern the Black Sea Initiative, which allowed Ukraine to ship out its grain. He also stated that there was no agreement between the US and Ukraine to lift sanctions on Russia.
**Russia’s Conditions for Ceasefire**
The Kremlin has said that the ceasefire would only take effect if Western sanctions on Russian food producers, exporters, and financial institutions are lifted and if Russia is reconnected to the SWIFT payment system.
