**Ukraine’s Kuleba Warns of Trump’s Plan to Starve Ukraine of Weapons**
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has expressed concerns that US President-elect Donald Trump will not bring a peace deal to Ukraine. In an interview with Politico, Kuleba said that Russian President Vladimir Putin still believes he can achieve his goals in Ukraine.
**Putin‘s Obsession with Ukraine**
According to Kuleba, Ukraine is a “personal obsession” for Putin. He also sees it as a way to show the world how the West is incapable of defending itself or its values. Trump has criticized military support provided to Ukraine by the Biden administration and has pledged to get the US out of the war.
**Consequences of Trump’s Plan**
Kuleba warned that if Trump’s plan goes ahead, it will starve Ukraine of weapons, causing the front lines to collapse. This would allow Russian forces to move up to key cities like Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava. Kuleba also believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky cannot sign a peace deal that recognizes occupied territories as Russian and gives up on NATO accession plans.
**Ukraine’s Position**
Zelensky recently told Fox News that Ukraine would never recognize Russian occupation but admitted that Crimea would have to be liberated through diplomatic means. He appealed to the international community to help bring about a diplomatic and just end of the war next year.
**Europe‘s Stance**
Kuleba believes that Europe’s stance will be decisive in this situation. Leading European countries like the UK, France, and Poland have pledged to ramp up their support for Kyiv. However, the situation in Germany remains uncertain as the country is heading towards snap elections in February.
