Ukraine’s former Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin has a new job. He will be Ukraine’s ambassador to the Netherlands.
This was announced by lawmaker Yaroslav Zhelezniak on his Telegram channel. Several other Ukrainian media outlets also reported this news.
Kostin used to be the head of Ukraine’s prosecutor general office. But he resigned in October after some corruption problems were discovered. President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials had talked about these problems, which involved fake disabilities for prosecutors.
Now that Kostin is moving on to a new job, it is not clear who will take his place as head of the prosecutor general office. A source close to the president said that a decision is being made, but not yet finalized.
Kostin’s new role as ambassador to the Netherlands may be related to his experience in international law. He has been a member of several organizations and has worked with lawyers from around the world.
