In an interview with CNN, Johnson said that the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson finds it hard to believe that Donald Trump will begin his presidency by abandoning Ukraine.
Boris Johnson, referring to Trump’s “Make America great again” slogan, said: “I cannot believe a guy so passionate about his nation…would want to start his presidency by allowing the Soviet Empire be great once more.”
Russia has made gains on the battlefield in a pace not seen since 2024. The lack of manpower, equipment and supplies has exhausted Kyiv troops who are holding back “one of Russia’s most powerful” offensives ever since the start Moscow’s full scale war.
Despite Johnson’s statements, there are concerns about the possibility that the U.S. will withdraw its crucial support if Trump is re-elected to the White House following the election on November 5. They may also push Ukraine towards painful concessions.
Johnson, speaking to CNN, pointed out that Ukraine received Javelin antitank weapons during Trump’s tenure as president. The country was fighting Russian proxy forces in Donbas.
Trump, who will be the U.S. President between 2017 and 2021 has approved the supply of Javelin launchers for Ukraine, a policy change from his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama.
He is suspected of using the military assistance to pressure Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky to launch an inquiry against Hunter Biden – the son of Joe Biden‘s political rival – which led to a Trump impeachment process.
Johnson, who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom between 2019 and 2022, had close ties to then-U.S. president Trump. He said that whoever won the U.S. elections on Nov. 5, they would have to increase support for Ukraine.
The former British Prime Minister said that “just continuing with the current policy (that Joe Biden and Kamala) Harris (followed), is not enough.”
The Biden administration is the largest defense donor in Kyiv, having committed $64 billion since 2022. Critics have criticized the president’s allegedly cumbersome and piecemeal approach to supporting Ukraine.
Johnson added, “Even if Kamala won… with the current trajectory that is not enough.”
Recent polls show Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harriman, who has pledged that she will continue to support Ukraine if elected are neck-and-neck as they enter the final stretch.
The former U.K. Prime Minister said that the only way to achieve peace and stability in Ukraine is to extend NATO membership.
The attack caused damage to a supermarket, apartment buildings with multiple stories, commercial properties, and cars.
Kazem Jalali, the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, said on November 4 that Russia will launch two Iranian Satellites, Kowsar & Hodhod into orbit using a Soyuz Launcher on Nov. 5.

Annalena Bärbock, the German Foreign Minister, said that she was arriving in Ukraine and that “we are fighting this brutality by our humanity and support so that Ukrainians not only survive winter but that their country can also survive.”
Wi Sung Lac, a South Korean member of the parliamentary intelligence committee told The Korea Herald that North Korean soldiers receive $2,000 per monthly for their service. This would amount to at least $200,000,000 annually if multiplied by 10,000 soldiers.
Andrii Kovalenko didn’t provide any additional details about the circumstances of the engagement, or possible losses for the North Korean side.
This includes 1,300 casualties that Russian forces have suffered in the last day.
The Finnish authorities have announced that a new political museum will open at the same location on February 15, 2025. The museum’s focus will be on Finnish-Russian relationships, including developments of the 21st Century.

City officials reported that on Nov. 3, Russia launched its latest drone strike overnight on Ukraine. The attack lasted more than five hours and targeted the capital. Kyiv was rocked by several waves of explosions throughout the night.
On Nov. 3, Governor Oleksandr PROKUDIN reported that Russian troops shelled Bilozerka, a village in Kherson Oblast. A paramedic and a driver of an ambulance were wounded.
Hungarian Prime Minster Viktor Orban stated in a radio conversation on Nov. 3 that “Europe cannot stay pro-war” if Donald Trump is elected U.S. President, as reported by Telex. Orban was supposedly referring the EU’s military assistance to Ukraine which he has repeatedly criticized.
After “a public reaction,” Google representatives contacted the Ukrainian side, and the company is already working on fixing the issue, Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the counter-disinformation department at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said in a later update on social media.
