**Russian Officers Killed in Ukraine’s Attack on Kursk Oblast**
A Ukrainian attack on the town of Lgov in Russia’s Kursk Oblast killed at least four Russian officers, according to independent Russian media outlet Mediazona. The attack occurred on December 30.
The officers who were killed were from the 76th Air Assault Division. They included Lieutenant Colonel Valeriy Tereshchenko, Pavel Maletsky, Alexei Seliverstov, and Major Ali Tsurov from Ingushetia. Eight people from the division’s senior staff were also killed, and 22 others were injured.
**Ukraine Targets Russia’s Fossil Fuel Infrastructure**
Ukraine has been targeting Russia’s fossil fuel infrastructure as part of its strategy to undermine a key funding source for Russia’s war effort. This includes attacks on Russian command posts and energy facilities.
