France and 37 other countries have started a process to make sure people in Georgia can protest peacefully and freedom of the press is respected. This is according to France‘s Embassy in Georgia.
The embassy said this was an important issue for the government and people of Georgia. They are inviting Georgia to talk about it and find ways to solve problems related to these freedoms.
This process, called the Vienna Mechanism, was started by France and other countries that work together through the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe).
