France’s top diplomat suggested that the possible deployment of North Korean troops to help Russia in Ukraine indicates Russia’s challenges.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot stated that if North Korean forces did indeed start participating in Russia’s conflict against Ukraine, on Russia’s behalf, it would be a serious development for Russia and indicate major problems.
Kyrylo Budanov is the head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate. He said that approximately 11,000 North Korean infantrymen were currently training in eastern Russia. On 13 October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that North Korean specialists are being sent to help the Russian occupation army.
