According to reports by the partisan group “ATESH,” the attack disrupted oil transshipment on the peninsula’s largest hub, prompting Russian forces to quickly set up mobile refueling station to evade any further strikes.
According to “Atesh,” an anti-Ukrainian partisan group, Russian troops are facing a fuel shortage following Ukraine’s attack on an oil terminal at Feodosia, in the occupied Crimea.
On 7 October, Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on the oil terminal at Feodosia. This is the largest oil terminal in the peninsula, in terms of the amount of oil products that are transshipped to the Russian Army.
After the strike, the invaders set up mobile refueling station, which were constantly moving to avoid any further Ukrainian attacks.
“Atesh agents record the active movements of military fuel truck throughout Crimea. The destruction of the Feodosia oil terminal has caused a severe fuel supply shortage for Russia’s military. The occupying forces are mass producing mobile refueling station that move around frequently out of fear of more strikes,” claim the partisans.
The Russian high command ordered that fuel stations should only remain in a single location for 10-12 hours.
The Ukrainian guerillas said, “This situation shows that the destruction of large-scale infrastructures has a critical impact on both the supply and ability of Russian forces to carry out missions.”
Atesh was formed in September 2022, following Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine. It not only conducts its own partisan operations, but also claims to have created a network within the Russian military. They have also set up training courses for Russian soldiers to learn how to damage their equipment.
Atesh partisans have targeted the satellite communications station located on the territory of the 584th guards anti-aircraft missile regiment in Klin. This station was crucial for communication lines between the strategic and operational command branches in the Russian army.
