**Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza**
The situation in Gaza is very bad. “There’s no food, water, electricity, or shelter,” said Gazan journalist Ghada el-Kurd. Many people are struggling to survive.
**Aid is Being Sent In**
The UN and other aid agencies are sending help to the people of Gaza. They’re providing food, water, blankets, and hygiene items. But it’s a big job and they’re not sure if they can meet all the needs.
**Many People Stayed Behind**
Around 400,000 people stayed in Gaza during the war. Some areas were destroyed, while others survived with damage. The UN estimates that 70% of buildings have been damaged or demolished since October 2023.
**Housing is a Big Problem**
As civilians return to their homes, there’s going to be a big shortage of housing. Many people had to leave their homes in the south and are now returning to the north. This could lead to tensions and conflicts over housing and resources.
