**Russia Loses 800,000 Troops in Ukraine**
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has lost a huge number of troops in Ukraine. The Ukrainian military reported that 800,010 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded since the start of the full-scale invasion.
This includes 1,970 casualties over just one day. The Ukrainian military also claims to have destroyed a large amount of Russian equipment and vehicles, including:
* 9,710 tanks
* 20,189 armored fighting vehicles
* 33,226 other vehicles
* 21,710 artillery systems
* 1,260 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,038 air defense systems
* 369 airplanes
* 331 helicopters
* 21,708 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* One submarine
**Ukraine’s Leader Speaks Out**
President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an address that Ukraine is continuing to maintain a buffer zone on Russian territory and actively destroying Russian military potential there.
**Investigations and Scandals**
Law enforcement agents are investigating the head of Ukraine’s State Customs Service, Serhiy Zvyagintsev, over suspicions that he failed to declare his home near Kyiv, which is worth over $100,000.
A French army official confirmed that several dozen Ukrainian soldiers serving in a training program in France deserted their posts. The Trump administration‘s Ukraine peace envoy has postponed a visit to Kyiv until after President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.

* Russian troops have allegedly killed three Ukrainian prisoners of war in Donetsk Oblast.
