**Russia Loses Thousands of Troops and Equipment in Ukraine**
Russia has lost 841,660 troops since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. This number includes over 1,300 casualties suffered by Russian forces just over the past day.
According to a report by Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff, Russia has also lost significant amounts of equipment, including:

* 20,685 armored fighting vehicles
* 35,798 vehicles and fuel tanks
* 22,589 artillery systems
* 1,268 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,053 air defense systems
* 369 airplanes
* 331 helicopters
* 23,911 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* One submarine
**Drone Attacks on Russian Cities**
Ukrainian drones attacked energy facilities in Russia’s Astrakhan and Volgograd oblasts overnight on February 3, causing a fire.
**Geopolitics and EU Relations**
