Russia’s Losses in Ukraine Continue to Rise
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has lost a staggering number of troops and military equipment in Ukraine. According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Russia has suffered 879,410 troop casualties. This includes 1,340 losses over just one day.
Russia’s military hardware is also being heavily destroyed. The country has lost 10,255 tanks, 21,298 armored fighting vehicles, and 39,428 other vehicles. Artillery systems, air defense systems, and drones are also being taken out at an alarming rate. Ukraine reports that Russia has lost 24,064 artillery systems, 1,094 air defense systems, and 27,741 drones.
Ukraine’s Efforts to Bring Children Home
Despite the ongoing conflict, efforts are underway to bring children back from Russian-occupied areas. The President of Ukraine’s “Bring Kids Back UA” initiative has successfully returned at least 1,233 children to their families.
