**Russia Loses Thousands of Troops in Ukraine**
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has lost over 904,760 troops in Ukraine. The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported this number on March 24, which also includes 1,280 casualties from just the past day.

Russia has also suffered heavy losses in equipment, including:

* 41,726 vehicles and fuel tanks
* 25,129 artillery systems
* 1,338 multiple launch rocket systems

* 370 airplanes
* 335 helicopters

* 1 submarine
**Attacks on Ukraine Continue**
On the night of March 24, Russia launched a drone attack against Kyiv Oblast, injuring a man and causing damage to residential and commercial properties. President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the meeting between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations in Saudi Arabia was “constructive and beneficial,” with progress made on key issues.
**Russia Struggles to Recruit Soldiers**
Ukraine’s Military Intelligence reported that Russia is increasing financial incentives for military recruits due to a severe shortage of new volunteers. This comes as the Atesh partisan group sabotaged a railway line in Russia’s Smolensk Oblast, disrupting the transport of military cargo toward Bryansk and the Kursk Oblast.
**U.S. Optimistic About Peace Talks**
U.S. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said that Ukrainian children illegally abducted by Russia will likely be discussed at peace talks. U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, expressed optimism about Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s commitment to peace in an interview with Fox News.
**Conflict Continues**
A woman died in a blast caused by Russian shelling in Kyiv, and there were additional casualties, regional police officials said. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called Russia’s actions “systematic and deliberate terror against civilians” that undermines peace efforts.
