Russia’s Losses in Ukraine
The General Staff of Ukraine‘s Armed Forces has released a report on December 12. They claim that Russia has lost many troops and vehicles since the start of its invasion on February 24, 2022.
According to the report, Russia has lost a lot of soldiers. In total, they have lost over 758,000 troops. This is a very high number.
Russia’s equipment has also been damaged or destroyed. They have lost thousands of tanks and armored fighting vehicles. The exact numbers are:
* Tanks: 9,532
* Armored fighting vehicles: 19,644
* Vehicles and fuel tanks: 31,127
Other military systems have also been lost by Russia. These include:
* Artillery systems: 21,072
* Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,253
* Air defense systems: 1,023
* Planes: 369
* Helicopters: 329
* Drones: 20,111
Russia has also lost some of its naval fleet. They have lost:
* Ships and boats: 28
* A submarine: 1
