In September, the EU Delegation in Georgia and the United States Agency for International Development(USAID) travelled together to Kakheti to highlight the impact that Georgia’s partners have on local communities.
During their joint visit, Nicholas Cendrowicz (Head of Cooperation, EU Delegation in Georgia) and John A. Pennell, Director of USAID Georgia Mission, highlighted the sustainability and impact of EU and USAID projects that promote economic growth, social integration, and resilience among communities throughout Kakheti.
The delegation met with representatives of civil society and local civic leaders, and visited initiatives that focused on education, social and political issues, economic growth, and job creation.
“The EU remains deeply dedicated to supporting the people in Georgia, where our partnerships are making a difference,” Cendrowicz said.
This visit follows on from a first round in Shida Kartli region and Imereti region in July. Both visits showed the impact of the EU and USAID’s collaborative efforts.
